After working together over the last couple season

After working together over the last couple seasons we are excited to officially welcome @spikedr3 Priscilla Tallman to the Athletes Abroad team as our Mindset & Mental Skills Coach.

Known as the Spike Dr throughout her playing career- Priscilla competed for The University of Georgia where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Priscilla has a long list of playing accolades including First Team All-America honors (1993, 1994), SEC Player of the Year (1994), First Team All-SEC (1991-1994), and SEC Freshmen of the Year (1991). In 2006 she was inducted into Georgia’s prestigious Circle of Honor. Post college Priscilla played professional volleyball in Switzerland and was a member of the USA National Team in 1994 and a member of The World University Games Team in 1995.

After her playing career, she went back to school and graduated with her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Vanguard University. In 2016, she returned to coaching at the high school and club level and in 2018 she made the jump to collegiate sports as the Volunteer Assistant for Arizona State University beach volleyball team. In 2021, she became the Assistant Beach Volleyball coach at Arizona Christian University in Phoenix, AZ. In addition to coaching, she has co-written and authored two nationally published performance journals “30 Day Champions Journal” as well as “30 Day Return to Play Journal” and provides performance and mindset coaching to youth, club and collegiate athletes.

Priscilla will support our athletes and their mental game through the use of her journals, our Group Zoom Sessions, and 1-on-1 support.
