Mia Schafer is an American setter currently playing for Örebro Volley in Sweden, where she led the team to a Silver Medal at the Swedish Grand Prix in 2026. She began her professional career with Herceg Novi in Montenegro, earning Gold in the Montenegro Cup and Gold in the League Championship Playoffs in 2025. Mia played her final two seasons of collegiate volleyball at Loyola Marymount University specializing in a fast paced dynamic offense (2023–2024). In 2024, she led LMU to a Second Round appearance in the NCAA Tournament, earning WCC Setter of the Year honors. That same season, she was awarded the Leader of the Pride Award in recognition of her exceptional leadership. Prior to LMU, Mia competed in both indoor and beach volleyball at San José State University. She concluded her collegiate career with over 3,000 assists and 500 digs.
