HaleyBrightwell

Haley is a dedicated and experienced volleyball coach with a strong background in both high-performance international coaching and program operations. Since 2020, she has served as the Assistant Coach of Viteos NUC in Switzerland’s top league (NLA), working alongside Head Coach Lauren Bertolacci through a dominant five-season stretch that includes five Swiss League Championships, three Swiss Cup titles, four Super Cup victories, and a CEV Cup silver medal in 2024. At NUC, Brightwell plays a critical role in technical athlete development, leading individual video analysis, training sessions, and position-specific planning—particularly in her areas of expertise such as middle blocker and serve reception scouting. In addition to coaching, she manages team operations, logistics, and talent development for NUC’s full club structure, supporting rising players and coordinating second and third division teams. Prior to her time in Switzerland, Brightwell held the role of Director of Volleyball Operations at the University of Southern California (USC) from 2018–2020, overseeing all travel, scheduling, budgeting, and staff coordination for the NCAA Division I program. She also gained NCAA coaching experience as an assistant at UM-St. Louis and worked across various youth and club volleyball programs in the U.S., including Surfside Volleyball Club and High Performance STL. A former collegiate player at Drake University and UMSL, Brightwell holds a Bachelor’s and MBA from UMSL, and is a certified Swiss Volleyball Trainer (Level TB). Her strengths lie in technical precision, strategic planning, and comprehensive athlete support, making her a valuable asset in both coaching and program leadership roles.
